User Agreement

Effective Date: 17th June 2025

Welcome to myPence (“we”, “our”, or “us”). This User Agreement (“Agreement”) governs your use of our website, mobile application, and all related services (collectively referred to as the “Platform”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement.

Please read this Agreement carefully before using the Platform. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use myPence. By registering an account, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and current.

2. User Account

  • You are required to create an account to access certain features of the Platform.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • All activities that occur under your account are your responsibility.
  • You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach.

3. Services Provided

myPence offers digital access to hire purchase services, product Browse, account management, and payment scheduling, primarily for government workers on the Controller and Accountant General payroll.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree:

  • To use the Platform in compliance with applicable laws.
  • Not to misrepresent your identity or eligibility.
  • Not to interfere with the operation, security, or integrity of the Platform.
  • To provide true, accurate, and complete information during account registration and service use.

5. Payments & Transactions

  • All purchases made via myPence are subject to verification, approval, and payment schedules as outlined at the time of transaction.
  • You authorize myPence to facilitate deductions from your payroll or designated account, where applicable.

6. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into this Agreement by reference, governs how we collect, use, and protect your data.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, and technology on the Platform are the property of myPence or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or exploit any part of the Platform without prior written consent.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, with or without notice, if you violate any part of this Agreement or engage in fraudulent or illegal behaviour.

9. Limitation of Liability

myPence is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use or inability to use the Platform. All services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

10. Modifications to Agreement

We may update this Agreement at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Ghana, and any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Ghana.
